ABOUT JACOB DAVIES

Jacob has worked for a range of companies and clients, originally working for a production company in Birmingham before turning to freelance work over 4 years ago. Gaining experience in broadcast, short documentaries and viral videos, he has a unique style, as well as exuberant passion for the craft, to add to any film.

Jacob has previously produced work for clients including The Trinity Mirror Group, Toshiba, NS&I, TEDx and the Booktrust to name a few. He has contributed to projects ranging from corporate videos for both large blue chip companies and unique boutiques, to videos introducing apps, to the release video for the book accompanying the BBC documentary 'Africa'. Jacob relishes the challenge of working with new technology as well as maintaining a well-trained eye for more classic shots. Working particularly well when using his Ronin, there’s nothing that he likes more than seeing a film come together beautifully in edit featuring shots Jacob worked hard to create.

When Jacob isn't at work, either behind the camera or in the edit suite, he likes to go for long walks with his dog Frodo but then his trusty camera is always to hand to capture those little snapshots of life. As an avid film fan, sometimes work follows him home, as Jacob often finds himself analysing the camera work rather than enjoying the plot!
